Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Norfolk is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Norfolk follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Everything you could ask for in a low key calm beach vacation. Check-in was super smooth staff was prompt and polite. Rooms were cleaned very well for being directly on the beach no sand to be found when we entered the room. Beach so close to the hotel we didnt wear our shoes from the hotel to the beach. Was not a party atmosphere. Breakfast could use a little more options but the attendant was amazing and does a fantastic job.

Traveling from Indiana we found this hotel on line, and we did not regret staying here. The rooms were clean with no foul odors, staff were friendly and helpful. Easy beach access behind hotel with a working wash station to wash sand off. Breakfast was generic but works. Building does have an elevator, we were informed that it did not. Only thing I can think of, is it was a new worker. Other than that I would recommend this place. We were there in July, beach water was warm, not refreshing at all. Just a heads up.

The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which was one of the few highlights of our stay. Unfortunately, the room did not meet expectations for a hotel at this price point. We found insects, including spiders and what appeared to be beetle. A property charging premium rates should have much stricter cleaning and pest-control standards. Housekeeping was another major disappointment. Our room was not serviced consistently, and we had to call multiple times before receiving assistance. The staff appeared overwhelmed, suggesting the hotel may be understaffed or lacking effective procedures. The breakfast itself was good, but the experience was not. The breakfast attendant seemed overworked, and the dining area is far too small for the number of guests the hotel accommodates. It becomes crowded and uncomfortable during busy hours. The pool is nice but was not maintained to an acceptable standard. It clearly needs more frequent cleaning, especially considering how many families and children use it every day during the summer. Daily maintenance should be the minimum. The beach is excellent and is easily the best feature of this property. Overall, this hotel has p
